Comment Policy

Thank you for participating in the conversation!

Comments can be made on two types of content on this site.

The first is the content of the book chapters. Bear in mind that these were completed and frozenin January 2009, to align with the contents of the physical book.

Comments on chapter content are expected to be substantive and on topic. Comments that pertain to developments that occurred in the search world after January 2009 are relevant, but should not denigrate the contents of the book because it did not predict the future.

The blog owner reserves the right to remove any comment for any reason. Comments that are off-topic, that promote a product, or that do not contribute constructively to the conversation may be removed without warning.

The second kind of content is that of the blog posts which are new content that does not appear in the book chapters. More latitude will be given to comments on regular blog entries.
